About Wise Cash Guide

Wise Cash Guide is an independent editorial project about how ordinary Chinese households get more life out of less money. We write for readers outside China who want to understand the reasoning behind a practice, not just see a photograph of it.

What we publish

Every article answers two questions: wise where — what the practice is and why it makes sense in its setting — and cash saved where — what it replaces and what that is worth. If an article cannot answer both, we do not publish it.

We cover housing, food, household goods, money habits and everyday health routines. We do not cover anything that requires a licensed professional's judgement.

Who writes it

Wise Cash Guide Editorial Team. We work from published statistics, notably the World Bank Open Data indicators, and from descriptions of household practice. We do not claim to have visited every kitchen we describe.

How we make money

Display advertising only. We do not take payment for coverage, we do not run affiliate links, and no brand has ever paid for an article on this site. If that changes, this page will say so.

Corrections

If a number is wrong, we want to fix it. Use the contact page and link the article. We correct factual errors in the article and note the change date.

Independence

This site is not affiliated with any government, any Chinese institution, or any company named in its articles.
